HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE (HYPERTENSION)

High blood pressure is a result of the blood vessels becoming too narrow or the amount of blood moving through them being too high.  Our dietitian can provide dietary advice to help lower your blood pressure, thereby lowering your risk of cardiovascular disease.

HIGH CHOLESTEROL

High cholesterol can lead to the development of fatty deposits in arteries, which can eventually lead to heart attack or stroke.  There are two main transport systems of cholesterol in the blood, one good (HDL cholesterol) and one bad (LDL cholesterol).  Our dietitian can help explain the differences in the two as well as how to improve these different types of cholesterol levels through dietary changes.
