Liver disease can be either acute or chronic. For people with chronic liver disease or liver cancer, malnutrition can be common, especially in the advanced stages. For other forms of the disease such as fatty liver, diet and lifestyle changes such as weight loss may help. Our dietitian will guide you through the most appropriate diet for you, based on the latest scientific research.
Following a vegetarian diet can be safe and fulfil all your nutritional needs provided it is well planned and you are including suitable foods high in vitamin and minerals which may otherwise be lacking. Nutrients typically found in high quantities in animal products include vitamin B12, omega 3, protein, zinc, and iron. Therefore, our dietitian can ensure you are eating adequate amounts of these nutrients in plant-based alternatives.
